To request a Police Department record — including incident reports, accident reports, and certain body-worn-camera footage — please submit an Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) request to the Town Clerk.

Law Enforcement Records — Special Requirements
For police audio or video, NMSA 14-2-1.2 requires the requestor to identify one of the following:
- CAD number; or
- Date or date range plus name of police officer or first responder, approximate time, or approximate location.
Some law-enforcement records are exempt from disclosure under NMSA 14-2-1.2(A)(2) — records that reveal confidential sources, methods, information, or individuals accused but not charged with crimes.
